Part 1: QUICK & NOVICE STEPS

Simple steps to help you remove programs from startup.

Open Task Manager

Or right-click the taskbar and select Task Manager.

Go to startup apps

You’ll see a list of all programs that start with Windows

Check the impact

High impact programs can slow down you system performance

Disable Unwanted Programs

You can also select the program and click the Disable button (bottom right)

Restart Your PC

Your PC will boot faster with fewer programs starting automatically.

Part 2: ADVANCED & INTERMEDIATE STEPS

the less that is starting as the computer starts the quicker it should run.

Disable from settings

East and user-friendly option for beginners.

Use system Configuration (msconfig)

Open msconfig and click “Open Task Manager to manage startup items 

Check for Task Schedular

Look for tasks from programs you don’t need and disable them.

Uninstall Unneeded Programs

Go to Settings > Apps > installed Apps and uninstall what you don’t use.

Disable Services (Use with Caustion)

Press Win + R, type services.msc and press Enter to open Services. Don’t disable critical Windows services. 

PowerShell Method (Advanced)

Advanced users can view and manage startup entries via PowerShell

Use Autoruns (Advanced)

BIOS/UEFI (Use with Caution)

Restart, enter BIOS/UEFI (Del, F2, F10) oe Esc depending on your PC) and check boot options.
