Check System Requirements
1. 1GHz or faster, 2+ cores.
2. 4 GB RAM (8 GB recommended.
3. 64 GB Storage or larger.
4. UEFI, Secure Boot capable.
5. TPM 2.0
6. DirectX 12 compatible graphics / WDDM 2.x
Use the PC Health Check app to verify compatibility.
Create Installation Media
Download the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft.
1. Run the tool
2. Select “Create installation media for another PC.
3. Choose language, edition and architecture.
4. Select USB flash drive.
5. Click Next and wait for it to complete.
Backup Your Files
Save important files to an external drive or cloud storage.
A clean install will delete all data on the target drive.
Boot From The USB
Insert the USB drive and restart your PC.
1. Press the boot key during startup (See table below)
2. Select your USB drive as the boot device.
3. This will start Windows setup.
Install Windows 11
In Windows setup:
1. Select language, time and keyboard layout.
2. Click “Next”.
3. Click “Install now”
4. Enter product key (or click “I don’t have a product key”)
5. Choose the edition you want to install
Choose Drive & Install
1. Select “Customer: Install Windows only (Advanced).
2. Choose the drive where you want to install Windows.
3. (Optional) Delete existing partitions for a clean install.
4. Click “Next” to begin installation.
Complete Setup
Windows will install and restart several times.
Follow the on-screen steps to:
1. Set up region.
2. Create a user account.
3. Connect to Wi-Fi
4. Privacy settings

Alternative methods and additional options for more control or specific situations.
Install without USB (Using ISO file)
- Download the BIOS file.
- Extract if necessary.
- copy the BIOS file to a USB drive (FAT32 formatted).
- Reboot and enter the BIOS
- Use the BIOS update utility (often in the “Tool” or “Advanced” menu).
- Select the BIOS file from the USB drive.
7. Start the update.
Install on a new drive
- Run the manufacturer’s BIOS update tool in Windows.
- Follow the instructions carefully.
- Do no use your computer during the update.
- Restart when prompted.
Upgrade instead of clean install
- Use the exact laptop model (e.g., Dell XPS 13 9310).
- Use the official tool (e.g., Dell Command I Update, HP Support Assistant, Lenovo Vantage).
- Ensure the battery is at least 50% or keep charger plugged in.
Command line install (Advanced Users)
- Some motherboards allow BIOS backup to USB.
- Enter BIOS setup.
- Go to “Tool” or “Save & Exit”.
- Select “ASUS EZ Flash” / “MSI M-Flash” / “Gigabyte Q-Flash” or similar.
- Save current BIOS before updating.
